problem?

whenever i log on to my blog, i don't see the background anymore. the polka dotty one. is it that way for you all, too? comment and let me know, because i will have to fix this.

don't EVER ask me to drive a car. just ask dad. or mom. go-karts count, too. the only type of car that i can drive is on mario kart, but even then i still prefer the match bike. :)

so, you're probably wondering what's so tragic, right???[some of you already know.] well, here it is: HORIZON SCHOOL IS CLOSING!!! that is not a good thing. and even tough i am going into junior high next year, it is still awful because a lot of wonderful people are going to lose their school/job. Josh and I have been through a lot of tears[well, okay, most of the actual tears was me]. one of the worst things is that i will have nothing to go back to, nobody to go visit. but, me and my friends are trying to make this the best last year possible. i am bringing my camera a lot, too. above are some of my best buddies, and we will be that way forever. [oh crud, here come the tears!]

science olympiad!!!!

it has been a great day!!! [oh, and don't think my friends are rabid or feral or anything, they are just super crazy.] and one more thing: hahaha, aunt em, i[we all] did fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

science olympiad

so, at school, there is something big going on. well, at least for us, anyway. it is[drumroll, please] SCIENCE OLYMPIAD!!!!!!!! and, no, it is not the elementary school thingy that all my friends talk about whenever i bring this up.[that drives me nuts.] this is bigger, much bigger. we compete against jr. high, high school kids! geez louise, i have four events, and i am NOT with a capital N ready yet. i am participating in these:
1.write it/ do it
2.metric mastery
3.awesome aquifers
4.ornithology
you can probably guess what 2,3,and 4 are about, but write it/do it is a little harder to guess. so i'll tell you: i am the writer[big suprise there], and my friend, porter is the "do-er." when we go to the event, they will take all of the other writers and me into a room, where they will show us an object. last time it was made of random household objects and k'nex. anyway, the writers will have 25 minutes to write exact insructions on how to build the object. they will turn it over to their partners, and they in turn will use the instructions to build this thing. but it is hard, because you cannot draw diagrams, arrows, pictures,ETC. there are other rules too, but i will not say all of them because there are a lot. in awesome aquifers, they will give my partner and i 2 tests, and on the 3rd station, we build an aquifer. at station 4, we explain to a judge how to use it, and some certain terms, like recharge. i am really exited, and it is this saturday!!! wish me[us] luck!!!!!! :)
